Star City CCTV Control Room, Birmingham

Here at Lake Contracts, we fully understanding the relationship between space, environment and people. As well as practicality and function, staff morale is a critical consideration. Productivity can be considerably improved when the environment is a more inspiring space.

Lake Contracts were appointed to redevelop the CCTV Control Room at Start City. The space was tired and staff felt uncomfortable. Exposed cabling, damaged flooring and dated furniture all contributed to an uninviting place of work.

We designed a solution, manufactured and installed a perimeter wall panelling system that could be removed to gain access to cabling for CCTV, fire control systems and bulkheads for task specific lighting. New flooring and a security wall and window for added additional safety when processing visitors.

The redevelopment significantly boosted the productivity and moral. Employees immediately felt less fatigued and more enjoyable place to work.

We currently continue to work with Star City providing an on-going property maintenance service.
